이도백하는 백두산[白頭山, 중국명 長白山] 북쪽 비탈에 위치하여 백두산 관광의 기점이 되는 마을이다. 백두산 장백폭포에 가려면 대부분 이 역을 이용하게 된다. 행정구역상으로는 현 아래 진(鎭)이다. 백두산 천지에서 발원한 송화강[松花江] 상류의 이도백하[二道白河] 강변에 있어 이런 지명이 붙었다. 진정부 소재지는 얼다오(二道)이다.
