I'm told that the ship that embarks from here takes passengers to the submarine ride. Didn't ride on the submarine but it looked like it was a pretty busy spot.

A pano from inside the (refurbished) World War 2 submarine base in Saint Nazaire. The huge, hardened structure was just to expensive to demolish and found new uses as a place where events and concerts can take place.
