Big cave church with columns in the upper Kızılcukur valley between Göreme and Çavuşin. In this side room the columns just serve as decoration, which is in this way unique in Cappadocia.

Archangelos monastery near Ürgüp in Cappadocia, with  Byzantine frescoes. Although they are covered from soot there is a lot visible. The monastery was in use until the 1st world war.

The Greek name of the village Başköy was Potamia, homeland of St.Georg. The Greek church, in front of the minaret, was used as mosque after 1923. Today it's in danger of collapse and can't be visited anymore.
