"Freedom Is Not Free" Every free man needs to be reminded every so often! This shot is at the front of the Korean War Memorial. To the right of the flag pole you can see the start of the memorial.

This is the Tidal Basin looking north to the Washington Monument. The street lights and the lights from the monuments provide all the light needed to light the quiet water of the basin.

As you come down the walkway from the Atlantic Pavilion you find another quote honoring those who built the arsenal of freedom. You can just see the Capitol dome and of course the Washington Monument.

This is the NW side of the WW ll Memorial you can see the Freedom Wall and a small portion of the Lincoln Memorial. From here you can also walk up to the Atlantic Pavilion which serves as the north entrance.

As you enter the plaza you can see all of the 56 granite pillars the encircle the memorial. In this shot you can see one of the 24 bronze panels that depict scenes of life during the war.
