This string tied up the pillar and Amitābha's right hand. So when you touch this pillar, it means you shake hand with Amitābha.

台南药王庙是昔日台湾府城七寺八庙之一，也是全台药王庙的开基祖庙，主祀药王大帝（神农氏或扁鹊），位于台南市中西区。不过现在的建筑是重建后的钢筋水泥建筑，不过仍保留了旧庙的一些木构建以及道光十一年（1831年）的楹联、香炉及同治八年（1869年）的签桶。另外在药王庙的右前方有祭祀一尊榕松公，据说是一颗已有三百年历史的老树。
