Azibo Albufeira

The Protected Landscape of Albufeira do Azibo, part of which is included in the “Morais” Site of the Natura 2000 Network, constitutes an interesting mixture of Mediterranean and Atlantic flora. Thus, alongside the cerercine oak Quercus faginea and chestnut Castanea sativa, which cohabit with areas of lameiro, the olive tree Olea europaea, the vineyard and the cork oak Quercus suber appear, in a mosaic valued for more undergrowth and rare vegetation in which ten and a half of spontaneous orchid species.
