Villa Rusconi-Clerici is one of many grand houses in Pallanza, on Lago Maggiore in the Piedmont region of Italy near Switzerland. Once the summer residence of a Count with a gift for gardening, it is now operated as an upscale wedding venue.
The day after the wedding we sat on the lawn and swam in Lago Maggiore and lived well on beer and pizza baked by this father and son team in their wood fired oven in the basement of the villa.
