Istanbul Haliçte, Unkapanı ile Azapkapısı arasında kurulan köprü. Gelip geçenlerden para alınmadığı için bu köprüye Hayratiye Köprüsü adı verilmişti. Sultan İkinci Mahmûdun emriyle kaptan-ı deryâ vekili Fevzi Ahmed Paşa tarafından tersânede yaptırıldı. Köprü 1836 yılında tamamlandı ve açılışı bizzat Sultan İkinci Mahmûd Han, köprüyü at üzerinde geçerek yaptı. Köprünün boyu tahminî olarak 400 m, genişliği ise 10 m idi. Köprünün ortası gerektiğinde büyük gemilerin geçmesi için açılabiliyordu.

Istanbul (historically Byzantium and later Constantinople; see the other names of Istanbul) is the largest city of Turkey and the third largest city in the world.
