Beng Mealea, on the wooden walkway, Siem Reap, Cambodia
Cambodia

Beng Mealea is a Cambodian temple that was built during the reign of Suryavarman II, between 1112 and 1152.

His overall plan and style would have served as a model for the construction of Angkor Wat. It is originally a Hindu temple but some motifs are Buddhist.

The site is located 42 km east of Siem Reap.
