The inhabitants of the Horstermeerpolder protest against the province of Noord Holland and Water Board Amstel Gooi & Vecht that, in consultation with Vereniging Natuurmonumenten, want to turn a part of the polder into swamps. There is reason to believe that the change in water management will damage the buildings in the polder. The inhabitants of the polder have removed a dam as a means of protest.
