The back of Borchgrevink's huts at Cape Adare. Borchgrevink's party of 10 men errected these two huts in 1899. They are the first and the oldest buildings in Antarctica. The stores hut no longer has a roof, but the accommodation hut is still intact. The huts are surrounded by a large Adélie penguin colony.
