It was one of the best day for hiking. This place is on the Kobotoke tunnel, which is famous for Tokyo people for the trafic jams of Chuo Exp way. In this place, on the north of Mt. Takao, many trees with colored leaves delighted my eyes. Since many cedar and cypress trees have been planted on the mountai area around Tokyo, there are not so many place that we can enjoy such colored leaves on the mountains near Tokyo.

Tama area is the name of the western part of Tokyo Metropolis. It consists of 26 cities, 3 towns and a village. A lot of people (about 4 milion) live in a eastern half part of the area. However, there are many mountains in the western part of Tama area, and there are very little flat land.
