Evening on the Nile, Old Cataract Hotel
Aswan - Nile River

The most legendary Address of Aswan, de luxe hotel centenary perched on its hill, with sumptuous sight.

The Old Cataract Aswan, built 1899, occupies a superb location overlooking the Nile, across from the legendary Elephantine Island.
Built in 1898, from world fame, bordered of splendid gardens, the hotel profits from an exceptional panorama on the Nile, the Elephantine Island and the Mausoleum of Aga Khan.
The hotel with its calm and excellent situation acts like an oasis resting in the heart of Aswan.
Chief of work of architecture victorienne with its frontages ochre, its living rooms elegant and out of date, its environment style and refined. Fabulous terrace, rooms with furniture of origin, woodworks, etc. The corridors are true galleries of photography.
Fine wood paneling, rich materials and modern amenities: the 123 rooms and 8 legendary suites (including the famous Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill)
The mythical address of the city is the restaurant of Cataract, the 1902. Immense room with cupola, decoration of Thousand and One Nights.
The terrace (there is in fact two) is too fabulous to make the dead end, that it is  for the sight, the decoration, with the coloured woodworks and hangings, or environment very ` club'.
