The building in the middle used to be a theater, not just a regular theater, but one of the first theather in Indonesia back in 1907.

Back then, there were two first theater in Indonesia located at Bandung City Center. It was not really a permanent bulding at first, only a semi permanent tent. The name of the theaters is De Crown Bioscoop owned by somebody named Helant, and the other one is Oranje Electro Bioscoop owned by Michel.

I couldn't find out which one is the one on the picture, but I'm quite sure its between those two..:)
