The famous "One Tree Hill" which actually has no tree. It is a 182 metre volcanic peak, one of many in the Auckland region. The obelisk was erected in memory of Sir John Logan Campbell who is buried here. U2 wrote a song about the hill, "One Tree Hill", which appeared on their album The Joshua Tree.
