The Aviation Wing of the Marietta Museum of History is presently comprised of a 15.5 acre park. The park features various civilian and military aircraft from the latter half of the twentieth century in addition to aircraft produced locally in Marietta. Aviation in Marietta begins with Bell Aircraft in the early 1940s and continued to grow with Lockheed Martin from the 1950s to present.

Capital and largest city in Georgia, Atlanta is known the world over for its parks, professional sports teams, shopping, museums, and entertainment. One of the fastest growing cities in the United States, Atlanta has been commended by the Environmental Protection Agency for its determination to implement ecologically friendly policies.
