Vihara(विहार) is the Sanskrit and Pali term for a Buddhist monastery. It originally meant "a secluded place in which to walk", and referred to "dwellings" or "refuges" used by wandering monks/Bhikkus during the rainy season.

Visakhapatnam, also known as Vizag, is the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh, after the state capital Hyderabad. It is the industrial capital of the state with major industries such as Steel Plant, HPCL, Hindustan Shipyard, NTPC, etc. It is blessed with a natural harbour and houses the Headquarters of Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy. Popularly known as the City of Destiny is a jewel on the east coast of India. It has some breathtaking beaches, thronged by the Eastern Ghats. Naturally formed red sand dunes(reminiscents of rivers), Buddhist monuments, etc., add to the beauty of the city.
