The South Gate was a defensive construction of armed conflict between Zhangzhou and Quanzhou. During Japanese colonial period, the South Gate was demolished and reconstructed to 120 steps.

Down the mountain there is a stone horse statue. The steps are quite steep.

Walking from bottom to top, there is a kind of "looked up to them, and they seemed to become more high".
