L'Escapade Island Resort is on a small island called Ilot Maitre just 25 minutes by boat from Noumea. Guests arrive at l'Escapade Island Resort on Ilot Maitre via the 54 passenger, air conditioned ferry the Coral Palms. It's a 25 minute boat trip from downtown Noumea over the calm waters of the New Caledonia lagoon.

The Coral Palms makes 7 round trips a day with extra trips on weekends when events are planned at the Ouen Toro Restaurant. The reception building is a modernized version of a New Caledonia "case" or meeting house. It includes the resort offices, a gift shop and of course the reception desk, open 24/7.
