It is considered a scientific academy established to commemorate the memory of the King Abdulaziz the founder of the Peninsula as well as a Center for scientific research, to collect, revise and translate all the materials written about the Kingdom, Arab and Islamic World into all languages, and make it available. The Darat also provide the researcher with references, documents, maps & drawings that helps to complete the research in an ideal way.The Darat is divided into Two main Sections1- King Abdulaziz Memorial HallIn this hall the visitor can learn about the biography of King Abdulaziz in figure and voice including the story of recapturing Riyadh and the procession to unify the Kingdom and to extend security and stability. The hall comprises of maps, and paintings that tell about the development of the Saudi State. An illuminated board shows the lineage of the sands in addition to a brass plaque showing the names of the man who had accompanied Abdulaziz to recapture Riyadh.The hall also contains a lot of old weapons, swords, inlaid with silver, coins of old times mostly minted of silver and some of gold. The hall also contains rare avis watches, some of them bearing the name of King Abdulaziz and others bearing his photo in addition to King Abdulaziz wrist watch, some of his dresses, two Cadillac specially manufactured for him as well as a big collection of rare old mail stamps.2- The LibraryThe library comprises all that relates to the history of the Arab Peninsula. It contains about twelve thousand volumes in different languages, in addition to the library presented to King Abdulaziz by the American President Truman in 1950 that contains 1,551 volumes in different fields of sciences. Islamic books in fields of tradition (Hadeeth), Jurisprudence and Theology represent the third of the library. King Saud University has done the classifications and cataloguing of these books in an organized scientific method. History books in addition to biographies, education and manuscripts occupy marked places in this library. The library contains local and Arab newspapers. UHUD, Moutain from the mountains of Paradise, located on the north side of Madinah, about 4 km away from the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi. Its surroundings about 16 km. Known by occurrence of UHUD battle near its foot, between the Muslims led by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and their enemies from Quraish in the 3rd year of Hijrah, 625 AD. This mountain called "UHUD" beause of its uniqueness of the united, It is not linked to chains of mountains around.
