The first time I came to this club was to see Jablkon, one of the countries zaniest (and oldest and some say crustiest) "rock" bands -- what better way to experience one of Prague's oldest and crustiest bar / clubs for the first time?
Ascending the stairs one knows that this isn't some shiny renovated space. The windowed and caged box office tells you "yes, this is a world that doesn't exist much, downstairs, outside". If they let you in (no one is checking if you are cool enough, so they probably will) you are greeted with a great spacious bar, with a ceiling high enough to take all of the cigarette smoke which is probably pouring from the patrons. The concert room is adjacent, again dusty and spacious, with the echoes of hundreds or thousands of parties of decades past.
