"قصر المصمك حصن محكم مربع ذو أبراج وجدران سميكة يقع في الحي القديم في وسط مدينة الرياض, واقترن هذا الحصن بملحمة فتح الرياض البطولية على يد الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود - رحمه الله في فجر الخامس من شهر شوال عام 1319هـ.
"Masmack Palace: It is a strongly protected fortress with thick walls located in the old neighborhood of the of Riyadh city center. In the beginning of the 20th century, on the dawn of Shawwal 1319H (January 1902), this fortress was a witness to a decisive battle when the Turkish rulers were vanquished by the founder of the Kingdom, King Abdulaziz Al Saud, after conquering Riyadh and subsequent strategic expansions, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was established.

When northern Europe was still lurking about in slimy cold stone castles playing chess, the Middle East was enjoying the flowers of poetry, luxurious craftsmanship, music and literature. In fact, the Renaissance in Europe was partly inspired by stories brought back from the middle east by travelers along the trade route.
Strategic location, religious history and the world's largest supply of crude oil have kept the Middle East at the center of world activity for centuries. The saga continues.
