308高地位於高雄市內門區和臺南市左鎮區、龍崎區的交界點，居高臨下，視野遼闊，可近看惡地地形、遠眺嘉南平原及臺南海岸線，風光綺麗，最佳賞景時刻是清晨5點及黃昏日落時。晨曦微露之際，山巒雲霧瀰漫，宛如雲海；夕陽西下時，彩霞滿天與附近景色相互輝映。相傳日治時期有一女子，每天至此高地眺望出海的情人歸船，故又稱「望哥台」。此地除了可登高觀景外，放山土雞遠近馳名，是風味極佳的美食。
