磁器口始建于宋真宗咸平年间（公元998年），传说明朝初年朱允炆被迫削发为僧来渝，隐避于宝轮寺，故将原“白岩镇”改名为“龙隐镇”。清朝初年，因盛产和转运瓷器，而得名磁器口，作为嘉陵江边重要的水陆码头，那经历千年不变的浓郁纯朴的古风，令其成为重庆江州古城的缩影和象征， “白日里千人拱手，入夜后万盏明灯”，繁盛一时的磁器口，被美誉为“小重庆”。素有巴渝第一古镇之称的磁器口，已有1800年，孕育了古镇悠久的历史与文化，其美食三绝中，首数的便是古镇麻花。因其选料上乘，手工精制，具有香甜酥脆、入口化渣的特点，深受人们喜爱，其与众不同的品质，早已备受好评。
