The St Martin cave was used by early christians of the Roman city of Pollentia in III-IV century AD. The first documents appear in 1268. Inside is an old well and two altars dedecated to St. George and St. Martin. In the underground lake are inscriptions made by the Templars. This part of the island after the Catalan conquest was given to the Templars cavalliers.
