海之韵公园1999年修建而成，原名“东海公园”，从2005年7月6日起市政府已经作出决定将之改为“海之韵公园”，她位于大连南部海边风景名胜区滨海路的东北段，北与大连市的中山区相接，西南部便是棒槌岛风景区，公园占地450余公顷，海岸线长达1200余米，是大连市区东部最大的公园。
