位於彩蝶谷的諦願寺，聳立於翠綠的山巒間，四周有波光粼粼的紅水溪與荖濃溪流經。

寺院外觀宏偉輝煌，彩繪、玉雕、石雕、佛像，均為主要的設計主題。建築設計兼具傳統與創新的獨特風格，寺廟的屋簷樑柱以敦煌的繪畫精神，結合台灣獨有彩繪風格，同時深具古樸典雅之叢林特色，以及莊嚴寬廣的宮殿藝術之美。
