新建的多納橋於2012年5月通車，採單跨鋼拱橋設計，跨距長達172米，為高雄市橋梁跨距最長的橋梁，並獲得2012國家卓越建設獎的肯定。多納橋樑體輕盈、造型線條柔和、搭配白色橋體，與周遭山景互相輝映，成為茂林區的新地景。

為增進抗洪能力，鋼樑底設計比莫拉克風災所帶來的最高水位尚高5公尺，確保居民生命財產安全。
