為加速漁業現代化，提升漁民生活水準，市府於1988年規劃闢建蚵仔寮漁港，促使原本傳統漁村轉型成為現代化漁港，每年漁貨量達4000公噸以上，年交易總額高達四億元，徹底改善梓官區整體漁業發展環境。觀光漁市販售當日鮮美漁獲，黑潮支流帶來豐富的烏魚獲量，當地出品的烏魚子也聞名遐邇。午後藍天搭配海上漁船行經掀起片片白浪，景緻宜人。
