Gigantic Bird's Nest
This is a panorama from the last day of the "Bundesgartenschau" 2005 (BUGA 2005). This is an event held every two years in a German city. The BUGA is a federal horticultural show that lasts approximately half a year.
Part of the show area will become an open park, but other parts will become a housing development area. The part you see in the panorama will be part of the housing development area.
One theme of the BUGA was changing perspectives. In the bird's nest the people are smaller than the eggs of a gigantic bird. The brittle branches of a real world bird's nest are made using large trunks.

Die Messe München GmbH ist der Betreiber des Messegeländes Neue Messe München. Die Ausstellungsfläche beträgt 180.000 m². Dort und an weiteren weltweiten Standorten ist die Messe München International (MMI)[1] Veranstalter von jährlich etwa 40 Fachmessen für Investitions- und Konsumgüter sowie Neue Technologien und somit eine der weltweit größten Messegesellschaften.
Besucherstärkste Veranstaltung auf dem Münchener Messegelände ist die Baumaschinenmesse bauma, die alle 3 Jahre stattfindet und mehr als 400.000 Besucher zählt. Sie ist außerdem die flächenmäßig größte Messe der Welt. Große Publikumsmessen sind die Verbraucherausstellung Heim+Handwerk (120.000 Besucher) und die f.re.e ( ehemals C-B-R, Caravan, Boot, Internationaler Reisemarkt) mit rund 110.000 Besuchern. Wichtige Fachmessen sind z.B. Analytica, Automatica, BAU und bauma, drinktec, Electronica, Ispo und Productronica.
