鳌鱼峰的位置属于黄山中部，海拔1780米。鳌鱼峰因山峰形状极像鳌鱼而得名。峰顶有三角形的鳌鱼洞，洞内有梯道，游人可从洞中穿过。峰前有数石，远望似螺蛳，构成“鳌鱼吃螺蛳”、“老鳌下蛋”等奇景。峰背有龟形大石，名“鳌鱼驮金龟。登峰左可见莲花峰高耸云霄，右可眺飞来石。前面南海宽阔，后为天海、光明顶。鳌鱼峰为黄山前后山必经之地，也是游客必游的景点之一。

该全景是在鳌鱼背上拍摄，峰前云海景色雄伟而美丽，磅礴气势。

安徽省为中华人民共和国的一个省份，地处华东、长江三角洲腹地。横跨淮河、长江、新安江三大水系。省会为合肥。安徽地域多元，兼有南北色彩。安徽清初属江南省，康熙6年(公元1667年)，析江南省为江苏、安徽两省而正式建省，取当时安庆、徽州两府首字得名。境内有皖山、皖水，即现今的天柱山和皖河，春秋时曾被封为伯国，称为皖国，故安徽简称皖。
