湖南烈士公园：湖南烈士公园是长沙市最大的公园，位于长沙市区东北，原为荒凉冢山。

1951年，为纪念近百年为人民解放事业献身的革命先烈，修建了这座面积为118•2公顷的烈士公园。由南大门步入，漫长甬道两侧的松柏苍劲挺拔，过花坛，沿石级而上便是纪念广场。山顶上有“湖南烈士公园纪念塔”，1959年建成。该建筑物塔堂合一：上部为纪念塔，高38•6米，正面镌毛泽东题字“湖南烈士公园纪念碑”；下为纪念堂。纪念堂东、西两侧为陈列厅，陈列有先烈夏明翰、杨开慧等90人的遗像和事迹，并陈列有全省76000多位烈士的全部名册。公园内遍山苍松翠柏，茂林修竹，郁郁葱葱。
