The natural swimming pool is a shallow enclosed lagoon on the north east cost of the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia. It is connected to the Pacific through a series of narrow caves. The crystal clear water with tropical reef fish and reef corals - and this octopus - is surrounded by the 40 metre high pine trees that give Isle of Pines it's name.
