新養女湖位於燕巢區金山里，是一座典型的噴泥盆形的泥火山，延續著烏山頂泥火山脈，湖形略成圓形，真徑約4-6公尺，泥漿含水量高，噴出物稀如黑水，因其噴泥聲就像熱水滾開的聲音，又別名為「滾水湖」。
