The Rossmarkt to Worbis

Convenient in the center of the city Worbis, are here:
- the revenue office (city hall) builds around 1500,

- the Krengeljägerbrunnen (the Krengeljäger is the Maskottchen of the city Worbis),

Es war die größte Region in der DDR mit einer mehrheitlich katholischen Bevölkerung. Auch heute noch liegt die Zahl der regelmäßigen Kirchgänger über dem Bundesdurchschnitt. Als Schutzpatron des Eichsfeldes gilt der Heilige Martin.Kulinarisch bekannt ist das Eichsfeld insbesondere für die Mettwurst (Feldgieker, Kälberblase, Stracke), Schmandkuchen und andere Spezialitäten.Inoffizielle Hymne des Eichsfeldes ist das Eichsfeldlied.
