Lying off the radar in the northeastern corner of the vast archeological site, Ta Som 's unique charm stems from its semi-runinous state.
Built by Jayavarman VII of the same fame as Bayon, Ta Prom, it has a similar layout as its more renowned cousins but in a more mangeable way - a compact and yet elegant temple within three successive enclosures.
A friendly artist disappeared just as soon as he has laid out his works near the northwestern corner of the temple within the third enclosure, leaving his potential patrons pondering his whereabouts. I suspect he has gone to the guards to pay his fee for making a living here.
