白石湖周邊山形從東邊「龍船岩」連接白石湖山、大崙頭山、忠勇山、鯉魚山，至圓覺瀑布而止，從空中俯瞰，就像是一條巨龍盤據，守護著白石湖地區。而吊橋橫跨於忠勇山及大崙頭山系間，「龍頭」忠勇山前方的圓覺尖，狀似龍珠，有龍搶珠的姿態，而「龍口」位於吊橋下方，為龍穴之地。白石湖吊橋的位置就處在龍穴之上，走過此橋，就如同魚躍龍門一般。
