這座山中靜謐小湖海拔約325公尺，常有山嵐縹緲如夢似幻，故得其名。澄澈湖水倒映著翠綠山林，幽雅環境不僅吸引新人拍攝婚妙，也是臺灣細鯿、蓋斑鬥魚、大肚魚的復育地。來到夢湖可順訪新山，自山頂眺望五指山系風貌。
