After being here for the past 7 hours standing around shooting photos and enjoying this large event with beautiful elephants I decided it was time to leave. On my long midnight walk out to where I could get a taxi, the fireworks show started. In a large filed between the temple and the 50 foot tall main gate there where ear piercing flash/bang explosives going off daisy changed around the whole filed. After that the large mortar fireworks started. Next I saw more elephants in a roll side by side very slowly coming down the opposite filed. By daybreak there would be over 50 highly decorated elephants.
