Without a shadow of a doubt Gorzów is symbolized by its architectural gem: gothic St Mary’s Church (currently the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), built on the foundations of a 13th century Roman church. The Cathedral boasts a 53-meter tower, added in the 14th century, which dominates the city’s skyline; its observation deck offers the best views of Gorzów Wielkopolski it is open May through October each year (at 11.30, 13.00, 14.00, 16.00.)
