По пътя към язовир Калин - 16 км от село Пастра на 805 м надморска височина до язовира на 2394м. Пътят продължава до билото между връх Калин и връх Голям Полич и стига до Карагьол. След това към хижа Иван Вазов се продължава само пеша.
