UTAR Kampar South Gate Entrance
Malaysia

Located amongst the hills, in a small secluded town established during the English colonial times stands in what was jungle and mining pools, a 1300-acre piece of land donated by the Perak State Government. University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Established in 2002.

UTAR was build to provide a high quality yet much affordable tertiary education for all Malaysians. Originally the first campus was build in Setapak, Selangor. UTAR has grown ever since and in 2005, this campus in Kampar, Perak was built.

Just finished it's phase 2 in 2012, UTAR Perak campus stands proud surrounded by wild birds and animals and serene landscape.

The University was named after the first prime minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman in honour of him encouraging the Malaysian Chinese Association to establish Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman (KTAR) which started over 30 years ago.

This Perak campus, is now the main campus. This campus has up to date more than 15 thousands students. UTAR offers a variety of undergraduate courses, pre-university, Masters and even Doctorates. Fields include, social sciences, business, ICT, Engineering and even more recently Chinese studies.
