In secluded Vale of Ewyas lies village of Llanthony with its medieval Abbey. Llanthony Priory dates back to year about 1100. It was abandoned after the Dissolution and decayed to a ruin. The Vale of Ewyas is the steep-sided valley of the River Honddu in the Black Mountains of Wales and within the Brecon Beacons National Park.
