Palau Marycel, Sitges

As a new VR photographer it is my aim to document as much of the town where i live, this is not for monetary gain but merely to bring the beauty of Sitges to more people.

The Palau Marycel is a beautiful example of this and is based in the old part of town just down from the town hall and houses during the summer evenings beautiful open air concerts due to the natural audortorium the courtyard and surrounding buildings create. During the day in summer many high quality buskers are to be found here.

The Palau Maricel, or Maricel Palace, was built in 1910 by North American millionaire Charles Deering to house his art collections. Today it is one of the most emblematic venues in Sitges for holding meetings, receptions, conferences, weddings and banquets in an incomparable setting.

The Palau Maricel’s main floor offers two exquisitely beautiful halls: the Gold Room and the Blue Room, each with its own unique decoration.

Equipped for outdoor receptions and other events, the Palau’s Terraces and the Cloister, located at the top of the building, are a privileged lookout point over the Mediterranean.
