Saint Malachy's Church, Belfast

Saint Malachy's Church is a historic Catholic church near the city center of Belfast. The church was dedicated in 1844 and possibly best known for the fan vaulted ceiling which has been said to look like a wedding cake that has been turned inside out.

The church underwent a fifteen month renovation beginning in January, 2008 and was formally reopened on 29 March, 2009. Unfortunately, the beautiful Gothic Revival Pulpit and left section of the alter were partitioned off and not visible when I made this panorama in June, 2010.
