Stanislaw cityhall at Rynok (market) square
Ukraine

Market Square with the Town Hall in the middle is the heart of Ivano-Frankivsk from its formation to the present day. Long time it was the administrative and economic center. City Hall is now a favorite for many construction, around and inside which rages cultural life of the city, there are entertainment, and Market Square is perhaps the most popular holiday destination of the townspeople.

Early-tradition of urban planning at Magdeburg law provided that foursquare area around city hall perimeter densely built up houses, their height should not exceed two (later three) floors, and the width should be within three or four windows. Unfortunately, today the tradition of urban planning, and with it the harmony of the architectural ensemble of the Market Square raised some tall buildings (four to six floors), which built on the site of the old.

Now on the Market Square, close to the cathedral, is the center of tourist information kiosk where you can buy fresh press, as well as maps, calendars, journals and various materials on local history and tourism portals, souvenirs. It also has a light panel with detailed schematic map of the city.
