The Fortress Of Aldobrandeschi In Talamone
Costa d' Argento

Today Talamone proud maintains its appearance of a fortified village of fishermen. The small port is dominated by the largest fortress of Aldobrandeschi of the late thirteenth century. After being abandoned and partially destroyed, it was rebuilt by the Sienese in the late sixteenth century, giving it its current appearance. The fortress stand out still on the promontory and the city borough.
