Lion's paws gate at Sigiriya Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka

Standing here, looking at giant lion's paws (which, by the way, look a lot like those of an eagle) you may wonder how did the head of that very lion looked like. Unfortunately, there's no evidence left, even the archeologist Harry Charles Purvis Bell, who discovered these paws in 1898, wasn't that lucky. So, drink in the view and try to imagine the grandeur of the entrance to the Sigiriya Palace Complex.
