The Port Shepstone beachfront has been restored in and upgraded in 2013 after massive storm damage in 2006.

A favorite bathing beach, particularly with local Port Shepstone residents, Port Shepstone beach now offers modern walkways and road along the legnth of the beachfront, as well as the reopened restaurant on the beach.
