Top of the mountain Bolshoy Nurgush (Big Nurgush)

Nurgush Ridge is the highest in the Chelyabinsk region. The average height of the ridge is 1200 meters, it has 1406 meters maximum. The ridge is located within the national park "Zyuratkul." The length of the ridge is about 50 km, it stretches from northeast to southwest.

Nurgush conventionally divided into three parts: Large, Medium and Small Nurgush. Big Nurgush (1406 m) is the highest point of the Chelyabinsk region. Nurgush in Bashkir is "radiant bird," as some steep angles Nurgush like a bird which is taking off. The huge areas on the slopes are occupied with kurums - "stone rivers", which slide on both sides of the ridge. At the top of the Big Nurgush is a large mountain plateau covered with tundra vegetation, and it is located at the foot of Lake Zyuratkul which has crystal, clear water. (http://travel174.pz9.ru/)
